Vision is our compass. It’s the thing that pulls us forward when the daily work feels ordinary, when nobody’s clapping, when things don’t look like they’re moving fast enough.

But here’s what I had to be real about: I cut out a key piece — pleasure. I got rigid. I got overly disciplined. I was so focused on the build that I forgot to have fun. And that made the work feel heavier than it needed to be.

So this conversation was about weaving vision and pleasure together, because both are required to sustain us as Powerful Creators.

Without vision, we shrink. The Bible says it clearly: “Where there is no vision, the people perish.” Vision keeps us alive. It reminds us of who we are and what we’re building.

Pleasure isn’t a distraction — it’s fuel. Pleasure keeps the process alive, joyful, and sustainable. When we cut out pleasure, we burn out. When we embrace it, we thrive.
