The Psychology of Money Chapter 3: Never Enough | When Rich People Do Crazy Things

Updated: Sep 9

Have you ever felt like no matter what you accomplish, it’s still not enough? You hit one goal, and the goalpost just keeps moving. The house, the car, the money, the success… yet something inside still says, “more.”

This is exactly what Chapter 3 of The Psychology of Money: Never Enough. reveals: the danger of never defining enough.

In our Powerful Creator Money Mastermind, we unpacked this lesson deeply. Because if we don’t know what we’re building for, no amount of money will ever satisfy us.

✨ 3 Powerful Takeaways from This Week’s Conversation

1️⃣ The goalpost will always move unless we stop it.

Morgan Housel says one of the hardest financial skills is getting the goalpost to stop moving. If we don’t set a clear vision for what we want long-term, we’ll always feel behind. We’ll keep manifesting, keep building, keep striving, but never actually land in satisfaction.

2️⃣ Comparison steals our peace.

There will always be someone with more. Warren Buffett could compare himself to Jeff Bezos. Bezos could compare himself to someone else. It never ends. The shift happens when we stop looking outward and define “enough” for ourselves.

3️⃣ Integrity is everything.

Anything built out of fear, shortcuts, or lack will eventually crumble. That’s why I’m personally in a season of cleaning up financial integrity for myself and my family. I’ve been walking through bankruptcy filings, tax documents, and the real-life work of creating a foundation that can hold wealth. Because when we build in integrity, we build something that lasts.

3 Specific Action Steps

✨ Define your enough.

Take a journal and write down what “enough” really means for you. Is it financial freedom? A certain home? Time to rest with your family? Get clear so your spirit knows where you’re going.

✨ Break the comparison habit.

Notice when you’re measuring your life against someone else’s. Shift back to gratitude: “I already have enough, and I’m creating more from peace.”

✨ Build with integrity.

Look at one area of your financial life right now. Is there anything you’ve been avoiding or cutting corners on? Clean it up. Integrity today makes your foundation strong for tomorrow.

💖 Personal Note from Amber Breanna

This chapter really hit home for me. I’ve felt that pull before — the stress of needing to do more, to make more, to build more. But God keeps reminding me that enough isn’t about a number. Enough is about integrity, clarity, and alignment.

We are not just chasing wealth. We are building foundations strong enough to hold it. We are creating financial teams, learning how money actually works, and walking through this process together as Powerful Creators.

When you know what enough is for you, everything changes. You stop striving from fear, and you start creating from power. And the truth is, you already have more than enough.

With love & power,

Amber Breanna ❤️
