Rich Dad, Poor Dad Chapter 8: Overcoming Obstacles | Powerful Creator Mastermind w/ Amber Breanna

Let’s talk about what really gets in the way.

We all say we want wealth, freedom, and abundance but then life throws fear, doubt, and delay right in our faces.

This week inside the Powerful Creator Mastermind, we got honest about it.

We didn’t just read Chapter 8 of Rich Dad Poor Dad; we sat with it. We looked at our real obstacles: the fear of losing money, the fear of looking foolish, the voice in our heads saying, “you can’t,” “you’re too late,” or “it’s not going to work.”

And we didn’t just name the fears; we asked deeper questions.

Where did these stories come from?

Whose voice is that?

And what would it look like to choose courage on purpose?

Because that’s the work.

Overcoming obstacles isn’t about never feeling fear; it’s about learning how to move anyway. To practice emotional mastery. To stay grounded in your power while facing resistance. And to keep showing up like the investor, the leader, the creator you’re becoming.

Let’s break it down.

💡 3 Powerful Takeaways from the Conversation

1. Fear doesn’t go away; you just stop letting it lead.

One of the biggest lessons from this chapter (and our call) is that fear of losing money is normal, but most people let it control their decisions.

In our conversation, we explored how fear itself isn’t the enemy. It’s our relationship to fear that matters. When we let fear be our teacher instead of our master, we begin to move with courage.

Wealth requires emotional maturity. You have to be willing to feel discomfort and still take aligned action.

2. The voice of doubt is usually someone else's.

We all carry internal blocks. Doubt, cynicism, hesitation.

But many of those thoughts didn’t even start with us. They were passed down, modeled, or spoken over us. During the call, we named that sometimes the voice that says “you’re not ready” or “you can’t do this” sounds like a parent, a teacher, or a past failure.

Once we recognize that, we can separate from it and reclaim our power. You don’t have to live by inherited limitations.

3. If you want more, you must become more.

This chapter reminded us that the journey to financial freedom is not just tactical, it’s deeply personal.

On the call, we affirmed that building wealth isn’t just about learning money skills; it’s about becoming the person who can hold, manage, and grow wealth.

That requires self-honesty, discipline, and deep inner work. The real obstacle isn’t out there; it’s the version of you that’s still playing small.

🔥 3 Specific Action Steps to Apply Now

1. Feel the fear and write anyway.

Journal about your top three money fears.

Don’t filter or fix them, just get them out.

Then, underneath each fear, write a truth or affirmation that aligns with your power.

Example:

Fear: I’ll mess it up.

Truth: I’m allowed to learn as I go. I trust myself to figure it out.

This helps you separate fear from identity and start leading yourself with intention.

2. Identify the inherited voice and rewrite it.

Ask yourself: Whose voice am I hearing when I feel blocked or doubtful?

Once you name it, choose your own.

Write a new belief that reflects the truth you want to live by and speak it daily.

Example:

Old voice: “You’re irresponsible with money.”

New voice: “I am learning financial mastery, one aligned decision at a time.”

This is how you stop repeating the past and start creating your own legacy.

3. Become the version of you who moves through obstacles.

Close your eyes and ask: What would the financially free version of me do today?

Then do one small thing they would do: whether that’s organizing your finances, studying an asset, or sending the email. Let your future self-lead.

Action builds confidence. And confidence dissolves obstacles.
